Well not really a whole new website. The site still runs on the excellent Website Baker CMS, but our new template is a lot easier on the eyes. We've also put all the illustrations up front and visitors no longer have to dig through all these pages looking for them. Kinda screwy why we didn't think of that in the first place, seeing that we're an illustration studio and all.
This month also marks a lot of internal changes. We have had some changes in the management structure of the studio. The good news is that we now have more freedom in how we grow and what we offer. The bad news is that we have to rebuild our cash reserves from scratch. This isn't as bad as it sounds though. Pencil Sauce is now one year older and wiser. We have a better understanding of the Indian illustration market, and this year we have plans to align ourselves closer to specific industries such as advertising, publishing, gaming and film houses.
What is most exciting for us is that we will soon be offering animation solutions. We hope to do so by August this year, so you can look forward to a spanking new animation and VFX showreel.
All these changes could not have come at a better time. The studio which grew as a concept based on a final year art school project has now grown into a company that services clients across the world. This website is a first step in a bold new direction.
